Graduate Mechanical Engineer – UNOC

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Support Mechanical engineering design process by participating in preparation of Mechanical Engineering designs and drawings.
  • Participate in the analysis of rotating, static, and fired equipment to ensure compliance with international standards and project requirements.
  • Participate in developing design documents, including Basis of Design (BoD), mechanical data sheets, and specifications.
  • Monitor equipment installation, testing, and commissioning activities to ensure adherence to designs and specifications.
  • Provide technical input during the Front-End Engineering Design (FEED) and Detailed Engineering Design (DED) stages of projects.
  • Undertake any other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned from time to time by the supervisor(s)

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelors degree (Hons) in Mechanical Engineering or related degree from a recognised University
  • Maximum 3 years relevant work experience and not later than three years from the time of graduation at a bachelors degree level.
  • Membership to a professional engineering body (e.g., UIPE – Graduate Membership) is an added advantage.
  • Exposure to oil and gas, energy, or industrial projects is an added advantage.

Skills and Competences

  • Proficiency in engineering design tools (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar software).
  • Basic knowledge of mechanical systems (rotating, static, and fired equipment).
  • Familiarity with international codes and standards such as ASME, API, and ISO.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to interpret Engineering Design
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Willingness to travel on work related assignments
