Security Officer – UNOC

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Act as the first point of call on routine security matters and concerns across UNOC operations.
  • Guide the external security service providers on implementation of UNOC security procedures for UNOC Offices, residents and Operational Sites
  • Carry out day to day security liaison and supervision of the external security services contract
  • Support the Security Specialist in conducting security risk assessments to identify potential vulnerabilities and threats to UNOC’s operations
  • Assist in the implementation of access control procedures to ensure that Company assets and information are protected
  • Investigate and close out on all security incident Investigation Reports and prepare/submit lessons learned
  • Update the evacuation plans in coordination with the Health and safety Specialist
  • Record and maintain security logs on all incidents and occurrences at UNOC offices, facilities and operational areas
  • Organize and deliver routine security briefings and training to UNOC external security service providers
  • Undertake any other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned from time to time by the supervisor(s)

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree (Hons) in any discipline from a recognised University.
  • Training in Voluntary principles on security and human rights is an added advantage
  • Certification in Security Management by an internationally recognized security institution will be an added advantage
  • Possession of relevant certification in health and safety will be an added advantage
  • Minimum of four (4) years of experience in security (Private Security Company, Army or Police)
  • Experience in security operations in the oil and gas or in a busy manufacturing or construction setting is an added advantage
  • Experience in remote site operations is an added advantage
