Senior Board Affairs Officer – UNOC

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Provide administrative support to the Board Affairs Unit.
  • Originate Board calendar and training planners for the Board
  • Originate and manage all procurements necessary for Board work
  • Draft advisory notes on corporate or any other matter as required
  • Draft relevant reports relating to Board matters as and when required
  • File all relevant governance documents in a timely manner
  • Book calendars for Board meetings and ensure that all Board meetings run smoothly
  • Support the Manager Board Affairs in drafting and reviewing relevant Board documents
  • Follow through with various parties to prepare Board papers ahead of Board meetings; review and ensure that Board papers are presented in the agreed formats
  • 10)Implement tools and frameworks for control of Board Documents
  • 11)Support and participate in initiatives and processes to create awareness across the UNOC business on legal, regulatory, and internal policies compliance requirements
  • 12)Undertake any other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned from time to time by the supervisor(s)

Qualifications & Experience

  • A Bachelors degree (Hons) in law (LLB)
  • A Diploma in Legal Practice.
  • Possession of a valid practicing certificate is an essential requirement
  • Membership to ICSA is an added advantage
  • At least 6 (six) years’ relevant experience in a busy corporate entity of high repute.
  • Demonstrated experience in dealing with Board matters and in providing advisory services in a large corporate entity
