ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Develop and implement the annual communications plan and social media content calendar
- Maintain and update a media personalities databank.
- Guide media agencies to develop and execute activities that are in line with the annual communications plan and social media content calendar
- Coordinate engagements with the media on product launches
- Work with the Senior PR Officer to coordinate the logistics for press conferences, interviews, and media tours.
- Manage, update and ensure implementation of the UNOC brand guidelines
- Lead the execution of all activities for visual brand building by supervising the activities of both internal and external expertise tasked with the production of the visual branding material
- Lead and manage all internal communications for UNOC and its subsidiaries.
- Supervise and manage the content on the UNOC intranet page in close liaison with the respective departments
- 10)Develop digital media analysis and reports of insights from the news world
- 11)Manage relationships with external media agencies.
- 12)Develop and mentor junior staff.
- 13)Undertake any other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned from time to time by the supervisor(s).
Qualifications & Experience
- A bachelor’s degree (Hons) in Mass communication, Commerce, Public Policy, International Relations, Social Sciences; Languages and Linguistics or any other relevant degree from a recognised University.
- Membership to the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR) is an essential requirement
- At least six (6) years of relevant experience, three (3) of which should have been attained in a busy corporate entity of high repute.
- Well-developed interpersonal and relationship building skills.
- Demonstrated experience in managing social media content and/or digital media channels for a large organisation.
