Senior Treasury Accountant – UNOC

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Manage UNOC’s bank accounts, perform banking operations and maintain all relevant financial records
  • Supervise all UNOC cash management systems and ensure that payments to relevant parties are made within the established treasury control policy and framework.
  • Responsible for implementing established procedures for banking operations to achieve required cash concentration.
  • Booking revenue and royalty payable for company operated and outside operated domestic oil and gas leases.
  • Reconciling accounts receivable balances resulting from revenue bookings.
  • Conduct trend analyses and explanation of large swings in the revenue bookings and providing relevant reports and alerts to the Head of Treasury and Financial Accounting.
  • Accountable for supervising monthly Revenue accounting including processing of prior period adjustments and non-operated properties.
  • Responsible for the accuracy and integrity of all relevant Treasury and Financial reports including Monthly accruals and account reconciliations.
  • Undertake any other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned from time to time by the supervisor(s).

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree (Hons) in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting or related fields.
  • Full Professional Membership (ACCA / CPA)
  • Minimum of 6 years working experience in a busy organization of which 3 must have been in treasury related roles in a reputable and busy corporate organization
  • Proficiency in Excel; ERPs; SAP is an advantage
  • Experience in use of Treasury Management Software
  • Knowledge of the Oil & Gas Value Chain is an added advantage.
  • Expert knowledge of accounting procedures and financial reporting practices.
  • Proven experience in Business Analysis
