Subsidiary Accountant – UNOC

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Prepare monthly management accounts within set timelines and in accordance with Company policies and accounting procedures.
  • Assist in preparation of annual budgets, periodic forecasts and year end reporting pack
  • Provide input into all Project Reports.
  • Manage inter-company transactions between the parent company (UNOC) and the subsidiaries.
  • Manage cost allocations between UNOC and the subsidiaries.
  • Conduct day to day inter-company control account reconciliations.
  • Support the statutory Audit exercise by providing necessary schedules & reconciliations; contact with staff required by the Auditors & compilation of management response to Audit findings.
  • Prepare local statutory financial reports.
  • Implement of assigned audit actions for the subsidiary businesses.
  • 10)Support the subsidiaries in implementation of controls framework.
  • 11)Participate in year-end stock takes for subsidiaries.
  • 12)Conduct day to day monitoring of progress and reporting on capital projects for the subsidiaries on a monthly basis.
  • 13)Support the Subsidiary General Managers in management of risks.
  • 14)Develop and maintain the Fixed Assets registers for the Subsidiaries.
  • 15)Undertake any other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned from time to time by the supervisor(s).

 

Qualifications & Experience

  • A Bachelor’s degree (Hons) in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, Economics or related fields.
  • Full Professional Membership in ACCA / CPA.
  • A minimum of four (4) years working experience in a Finance Function from a reputable and busy corporate Institution.
  • Proficiency in Excel; ERPs; SAP is an advantage.
  • General Knowledge of the Oil & Gas Value Chain is an added advantage
